What We Do
IBOUNCE UP contributes to the overall public purpose through our impact
Our Approach
Bounce Resilience Training is adaptable to the needs of the communities we serve.
Bounce Resilience Training Approach
Bounce Resilience Trainers conduct an initial intake with each organization to understand their specific needs and tailor the training accordingly. Through a series of questions, trainers identify the challenges that need to be addressed and then apply one to five of the resilience pillars and/or one to ten mental skills, as needed.
Training is conducted at the organization's location to ensure convenience and relevance. Bounce Resilience Training is adaptable to the needs of those we serve. Sessions can be conducted indoors with formal presentations or outdoors with activity-based learning, depending on the preferences and requirements of the organization.
EMPOWERMENT AND SUPPORT
By providing support and training programs, IBOUNCE UP empowers individuals facing challenges and helps them develop the skills they need to overcome adversity. This not only benefits the individuals directly but also has a positive impact on their families and communities.
BREAKING THE CYCLE OF ADDICTION
By supporting teens and adults in addiction recovery, IBOUNCE UP helps individuals break free from the cycle of addiction and regain control of their lives. This not only improves their own well-being but also reduces the social and economic costs associated with addiction.
STRENGTHENING
FAMILIES
By focusing on individuals involved in the foster care system, IBOUNCE UP helps to strengthen families and provide stable and nurturing environments for children in need. This contributes to the overall well-being of the children and reduces the strain on the foster care system.
COMMUNITY
WELL-BEING
By addressing the needs of these specific communities, IBOUNCE UP contributes to the overall well-being of society. Through empowering individuals and providing support, they help create a more resilient and thriving environment.

Communities Served
IBOUNCE UP has an inclusive approach to selecting who receives our training. There is no limit on who can participate; we aim to be as inclusive as possible. Generally, our classes consist of 15 or more participants.
The majority of our participants are of local Polynesian or Asian descent. Additionally, we focus on serving individuals from low-income or underserved communities. We welcome individuals of all genders, including male, female, and those who prefer not to specify. We do not discriminate based on sexual orientation, ensuring that our programs are accessible to everyone.

Our work targets organizations, nonprofits and local centers who serve the following
'Kupuna' or Older Adults
Reducing Inequities: The program addresses the participants’ unique needs who face major life challenges, including the elderly from CASA Hawaii and Makana O Ke Akua. Many of these kupuna experience functional losses and barriers to community engagement. Using practical tools, these barriers are minimized and active engagement in activities that support their mental and emotional well-being is ensured.
Helping Kupuna Thrive: Through the sessions, kupuna are empowered to strengthen their relationships and adopt strategies for managing stress and fostering optimism. Kupuna can share their experiences and wisdom with younger participants, thereby advocating intergenerational opportunities by fostering a sense of purpose and community connection.
Supporting Lifelong Learning and Caregiver Empowerment: The curriculum provides kupuna with lifelong learning opportunities, while also supporting caregivers who work with them. This dual approach enhances their overall well-being and contributes to an inclusive and supportive environment for aging residents.

Our journey with our participants included getting to know each other, exploring shared interests, and helpful activities to build resilience. We delved into diaphragmatic breathing, unpacked the 5 pillars of resilience, and practiced 10 essential mental skills. We examined event thought outcomes and engaged in practical exercises, all aimed at fostering a strong, resilient mindset.
